The 5 Purposes
It is known that every church is driven
by something. Whether it be its programs, finances, tradition, personalities,
events, or even its music, there is a controlling force in a church.
For a church to survive, though, it must uphold the five New Testament
purposes given by Jesus of Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, Evangelism,
and Worship. These 5 purposes are found in the Great Commandment and
Great Commission.
We use these purposes in our mission statement
as you saw on the main beliefs page. These five purposes are commonly
known as the "5 M's" and we have charted them below.
